  elastic waistband of my slip died and my slip was hanging 6 inches below my dress.. anyone else have an embarrassing service tale to share?.

  Eva Luna, The dress was trying to get away so it wouldn't have to ever sit through another assembly.

  Kool Jo, these days how many people would let a total stranger use their washroom. You must have had the look of total desperation on your face.

  Broken Promises, it must have been all that fine 'spiritual' food

  Nugget, yup, what else can you do, absolutely nothing

  Busy street, lots of houses. Felt something clinging to back of my leg. Elastic waistband of my slip died and my slip was hanging 6 inches below my dress. Can't pull it up...crap what to do. Did the only thing I could, I whipped it off and shoved it into my service bag and kept going.

  Anyone else have an embarrassing service tale to share?

  the watchtower seems to have lost track of one of their favorite endtime players - the king of.

  how could they let such an important component of their prophecies vanish.. .

  growing up in the 50's and 60's i fully believed the watchtowers scheme for interpreting daniel.. and it was quite believable back then.

  Good topic. I remember being a kid (&JW) during the 60's terrified Russia was going to us blow us up.

  Cedars: appreciated your comment about x becoming y illustration. No wonder I could never keep that BS straight. You got it all figured out in one chapter and then they flip it around in the next. So glad it wasn't just me who had questions about that

  So true Lady Lee. My JW ex used to use 'the silent treatment' on me. Worked for a long time, I would always cave. Then I woke up and realized this was a lack of unconditional love and disrespectful. It's been a valuable learning experience.
